Matthew is a seasoned industry professional who has worked with a wide variety of performers including legendary international artists Alice Cooper, Roger Daltrey, Peter Frampton and Paul Rodgers. Since 2008, Matthew has worked as an educator, musical director, conductor, and performer across Sydney whilst teaching high school music by day. He has performed as a soloist and backing vocalist for high profile projects, including platinum-selling album ‘Distant Light’ (Alex Lloyd), and he appeared on
‘The Voice’ (2015).
Matthew has extensive experience as a musical director and vocal coach – having been musical director for more than twenty-five major productions across Sydney. He has a high level of musical and technical understanding, regularly employing the use of click tracks, timecode, and bespoke keyboard programming. He has become well-known in the musical theatre community based on the quality of his output and his consistency as musical director. Matthew was awarded Broadway World Sydney’s ‘Best Music Director – 2020’ for his work on ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ with Willoughby Theatre Company.
